THE HISTORY
The engineering company Baffo, was set up by Alvaro Baffo in 1978 in Bagnoregio.
The founder’s aim was to focus on civil engineering projects both publicly and privately financed.
Over time, the company hired a growing number of employees and partnered with qualified geologists, engineers and architects, to be able to bid for large public projects, to diversify its operations and respond to a wider range of customer needs.
In the last three years the business has entered in a new phase of development with the decision of Daniele Baffo and Ilaria Baffo to join the family company.
Daniele is a 32 years old civil engineer with a master degree in seismic engineering at the prestigious IUSS school in Pavia. He joined after spending few years in research with University in Italy and Japan followed by a 2 year work experience at Halcrow, one of the largest engineering consultancy in the UK, as senior member of their Water and Power Group, Special Structures Team.
Ilaria has a degree in Managing Engineering and several years of experience working in research within Rome and Phoenix (Arizona) University. She has also worked as a consultant for private companies seeking the support of experts to find solutions to logistics and production problems.
Their arrival has brought a range of new skills and experiences to the existing
team and led to a deep
restructuring of the office procedures with the goal of making the structure
leaner, more efficient and
respondent to ISO standards.
